Ahmed Bin Abbood Al Adawi
Executive Managing Director
Ahmed Bin Abbood Al Adawi was appointed as Executive Managing Director of the company in August 2017. Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President of Power and Water Division at Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “TAQA” and represented TAQA as Board Member of several of their subsidiaries such as Jubail Power Company, Fujairah Power Company and TAQA Generation Power Company.
He is a Certified Financial Analyst, and has obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from London Business School. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Evansville, Indiana, USA.
Chief Financial Officer
Binoy George joined Emirates CMS Power Company’s (ECPC) in August 1999 and currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Taweelah A2 Operating Company. Prior to joining the company, Binoy worked with ABB as Administration and Site Manager.
Binoy obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Commerce, a Certified Cost Accountant (CCA), Master in Financial Profession MFP (AAFM) and a member of CA and IMA. He is currently pursuing CPA (New Hampshire, USA).
Arturo Patiño Riveira
TA2 OC General Manager
Arturo Patiño Riveira has more than 15 years of direct power stations experience. He started his professional career in the power industry as I&C Manager in Jose Cabrera Nuclear Power Plant (Union Fenosa). He later on served as the Commissioning Manager and eventually became Maintenance Manager of a 1,200-megawatt Gas Combined Cycle Plant in Spain. Looking for new experiences, he joined Marubeni Power Asset Management in Abu Dhabi as O&M Manager and later as Asset Manager, serving several Marubeni’s participated power and water projects in the Gulf Region. Arturo joined the company in July 2017 and assumed the position of General Manager.
He earned his Master’s Degree in Engineering, specialized in Energy and Combustibles at the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in Spain. He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Technology and Safety at Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT).
Khalid Al Awadhi
General Services Director
Khalid Al Awadhi joined the company as Human Resources Manager and eventually appointed the role of General Services Director. Prior to joining Taweelah A2 Operating Company, he served as a Human Resources Manager at Ajman University. His background includes more than 20 years of extensive related experience with Emirates Aluminum (EMAL) and the UAE Armed Forces.
Khalid is a graduate of the University of Southern Queensland in Australia with a major in Computer Systems Engineering and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management at the British University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) since 2014.
Hareesh Narayanan Nambiar
Hareesh Narayanan Nambiar has over 25 years of experience in Operation and Maintenance of Power and Desalination Plants. He has worked in various esteemed companies such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Lloyds Steels Limited, Malhothra Steels Limited and Kanoria Steels. He has been with Taweelah A2 Operating Company since October 1999 and has handled different management roles namely, as Performance and Commercial Manager, Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager and currently as the Plant Manager of the company.
Hareesh is an Electrical Engineer and a member of Institution of Engineers in India.
Khalid Jumaa Al-Hosani
Deputy Plant Manager
Khalid Jumaa Al Hosani has over 14 years of experience in the fields of power and water desalination, with multi-functional maintenance and management experiences gained in power and desalination facilities in UAE. He took up the position of Maintenance Department Manager of Taweelah A2 Operating Company in August 2016 and presently serves as Deputy Plant Manager.
He is a member of the UAE Society of Engineers and has obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the United Arab Emirates University.
Head of Engineering
Sabri Aljabri started his career with the company in the Instrumentation Department in 2004 and advanced his career until his appointment as Engineering Manager in 2016. He has multi-functional management experience in business development, engineering design, asset management and O&M in power and desalination. He participated in developing the ‘Heat Reclaimer Project’ which was first implemented in the region. He also served as ECPC’s BCM Coordinator.
Sabri has a Higher Diploma of Electronics and Applied Computer Science, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Management from Higher Colleges of Technologies and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Abu Dhabi University.
