H.E. Abdulla Ali Al Sheryani

Abdullah Ali Saeed Hazeem Al Sheryani is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates CMS Power Company. He was one of AADC’s (formerly Department of Water & Electricity) pioneer employees, having joined the company in January 1990. In his 27 years with AADC, he has assumed a number of functional and leadership positions in the fields of Information Technology, Accounting, Operations and Service Management. In 2016, he was appointed as acting Managing Director, holding responsibilities that were essential in maintaining the sustainability of the organization.

Abdullah received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon.

Engr. Mohamed Hamad Al Khazeeri

Engr. Mohamed Hamad Al Khazeeri has over 20 years of solid experience in the utilities industry.  He has held numerous key positions in the Ruwais Refinery General Utilities Plant (TAKREER/ADNOC) on various engineering projects wherein the focus of his work was on the management and operation of the General Utilities Plant Power Generation, Water Production Facilities, and the Electrical Grid ensuring that all Utilities are distributed to all consumers within the required specification.  Currently, he plays a vital role as the Director of Procurement and Contracts Directorate and Company Secretary of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company (ADWEC).  He also serves as Board Member of the S3 Independent Power Producer – Shuweihat Asia Power Company (SAPCO) and Al Taweelah A2 Independent Water & Power Producer – Emirates CMS Power Company (ECPC).

Engr. Mohamed Hamad Al Khazeeri is an Electrical Engineer and has graduated from University of Miami, USA.

Mohamed Abdulraheem Foulad

Mohamed Abdulraheem Foulad is one of the very first board members of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) in 2003. He also acted as the Chairman/Managing Director of Al Taweelah Power Company, Mirfa Power Company and Maintenance Technical Committee.  He has been involved with a number of power and desalination projects in the UAE, most notably Mirfa Power Station, Taweelah A Power Station and Baniyas Power Station.

Mohamed earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and M.Sc. (specialized in Gas Turbines) from Moscow University, Russia.

Easa Ahmed Al Zarooni

Easa Ahmed Al Zarooni has over 19 years of hands-on exposure in Electrical Network Management, Network Planning, Program/Project Management, out of which he held senior managerial level positions for more than 12 years. Through his zeal and dedication, he nurtured his career in 1998 as the Power Planning Engineer to Project Engineer for SEWA Load Dispatch Center Project, which led to his promotion as its Program Manager. He supported the completion of the department set up, tasks and responsibilities, designing and implementing the required structure and other form of due diligence and became its first Deputy Director in 2004 and full-pledged SEWA LDC’s Director in 2007. His prowess pushed him further and became Managing Director for the General Directorate of Planning and Project in 2012. He joined ADWEA TRANSCO’s Power Projects Directorate in 2013 and then moved to its Networks Management Division (NMD) as Deputy Division Manager in 2014 and became its Division Manager in 2016 to date.

Easa completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from United Arab Emirates University.

Carlos Alcazar

Carlos Alcazar has over 23 years of experience in the power industry. Having initially worked in consultancy for coal-fired stations and in power project construction, he moved to operational roles in different countries (Kenya, Spain, Taiwan, Switzerland & UAE) holding several management positions. Carlos worked in both merchant as well as contracted environments and was Plant Manager in Stations in Spain and Taiwan before rising to the position of General Manager Generation in Switzerland where he held responsible for a global fleet of CCGT plants for Alstom Power. He joined Marubeni Power Asset Management in 2010 and is presently holding the position of Director of Operations and Maintenance for Middle East and Africa working for the fleet in the Region.

Carlos holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School.

Neil Cave

Neil Cave has worked in the power industry for almost 30 years. He is currently serving as Regional Director in Abu Dhabi for Marubeni Power Asset Management. After concluding studies for his professional engineering certification along with his MBA, Neil began his career with 10 years of construction and service work for turbine manufacturers NEI Parsons and GEC Alstom. Following this, Neil joined China Light & Power working on projects and plant operations. In 1997, Neil joined Marubeni Europower and has worked in business development and delivery of projects through construction into operations.

Michio Hayashibara

Michio Hayashibara is currently the Vice Chairman of Marubeni Middle East & Africa Power Limited, operating in business development of IPP/IWPP projects in Middle East and African countries. His journey to becoming the Vice Chairman started in 1981, when he joined Marubeni Corporation directly after completing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. Since then, he has held several leadership roles within the company. In 2002, he moved to Abu Dhabi as the General Manager of Power Projects and in a short span of only 3 years, took over the position of Managing Director of Asia Gulf Power Service Company Limited.  He is a board member of Emirates CMS Power Company since 2009. He is also an enrolled agent to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Treasury, USA.
